Orbachiphiles! Brisconians! Onwards and Sideways… March 9, 2007

Thank goodness Gothamist is keeping us updated on the Jerry Orbach street-naming decision. Watch the video of some people arguing and just plain talkin’ HERE.
Apparently, there was a council meeting last night to discuss the issue; and Law & Order’s own Sam Waterson made an appearance to argue in Orbach’s favour! It’s just like how it is on the television! Real life Law and Order happening. And while the majority of the council voted in-favour of the honorary street naming, the final decision is still pending.
Gothamist also says:
The City Council has the final say on whether a street is renamed. Find your City Council member and let them know you’d like the street named after Jerry.
If you live in New York City, find your council member and tell them!

that is nearly surreal… sam waterson making the appeal for orbach street. i would love to see him working the council like a wide-eyed jury.
Please do not forget his stint as the host on Encounters with the Unexplained, of which I was a regular watcher in Middle School every Sunday night on PAX TV.
